zhooby is a small, independently run trivia site. This page explains, plainly, what information the site touches and why.

What's stored on your device

zhooby saves your game progress — your streak, best score, and which questions you've already seen — directly in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and is never sent to us. It exists purely so the game remembers your progress between visits. Clearing your browser data will reset it.

If you submit a question

The "submit a question" form is entirely optional. If you use it, we collect only what you type: your question, and optionally a name or email if you choose to provide one. This is sent to us via Formspree, a third-party form service — see their own privacy policy for how they handle transmission.

We use this information only to: read and consider your submission, credit you by name if your question is featured (only if you provided one), and reply with a thank-you (only if you provided an email). We don't use it for anything else, and we don't share it with anyone beyond Formspree's role in delivering the message to us.

You can ask us to delete any submission you've sent by emailing questions@zhooby.com.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal information. It reports only aggregate, anonymous statistics — page views, visit counts, and general visitor location by country — and cannot identify individual visitors.

zhooby does not use cookies.
